The RIAI is the official registration body and competent authority for
architects in Ireland.
Since 16th November, 2009 when the Minister for the Environment, John
Gormley T.D. launched the RIAI Register for Architects only architects who
are on the RIAI Register may use the title 'Architect' in Ireland.
Vivian Cummins Architects are registered architects with the RIAI (check on
www.riai.ie / Membership No. 97072).
The public can now be assured that registered architects are fully qualified
and trained professionals.
The system also provides consumers with an advice
service and with dispute resolution mechanisms in the case of poor service
or suspected malpractice.
If any person is offering to provide you with architectural or related
services who are not on the RIAI Register, you should ask about relevant
qualifications. The RIAI can also provide advice.
